EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
Central to Tacet Eye’s work in nurturing and growing a community of practice is providing educational resources and materials for alternative ways of working that support journalists, artists, and other practitioners in accessing trauma-informed frameworks and navigating the challenges and complexities inherent in their work.ENTER/EXIT: TRAUMA INFORMED PRAXIS FOR VISUAL JOURNALISM & BEYOND
This document is a toolkit, not a rule book; there is no one correct way to approach trauma-informed storytelling. Enter/Exit offers a starting point: a framework informed by the lived experiences of individuals on both sides of the camera.
At its most basic level, a trauma-informed approach comes down to visualizing, reporting, and sharing stories with an understanding of what trauma is, how trauma can affect individuals, and how secondary trauma affects those who work alongside each participant.
