ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: Featuring milestones & work supported throughout workshops and mentorships

Tiffany Chan
2020 workshop alumni

In my first Tacet Eye workshop, I was struck by how Talia Herman (guest speaker) photographed her family so vulnerably. Was anything off limits? Talia replied: of course, sometimes there are questions you just can't ask. Sometimes people just don't want to go there, or can't.

These images are questions I’m beginning to admit to myself. Questions about in/dependence, fidelity, and gender roles in my family. I’m exploring how this process might take shape as a photo book that includes collage and bilingual poetry.
